Wisconsin DOT Additional Special Provision 6 for November 2023 Letting
As standard specification changes come up that need fast-track implementation, WI DOT will insert them into contracts via additional special provision 6 (ASP 6). ASP 6 is included with the other ASP's in each contract proposal immediately after the special provisions. ASP 6 is inserted into all contracts by central office. Designers do not have to ask for it in their design letter.
The standard specifications is published annually and uses ASP 6 to supplement those specifications. ASP 6 will accumulate technical spec changes as they become necessary, each edition incorporating the previous edition, until they can be included in the standard specifications. The November ASP 6 release contains all previously issued revisions not incorporated into the annual standard specifications.
Department staff, contractors, and consultants must read the ASP 6 to avoid missing important specification changes. This email is a heads up to look at ASP 6 for each contract along with the other special provisions for technical spec changes.
