Ayres Announces Merger with Gausman & Moore
Ayres is thrilled to announce that Gausman & Moore has merged with Ayres, resulting in an approximately 350-person firm with offices in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Florida, Colorado, California, and Wyoming. Operating as a division of Ayres, Gausman & Moore adds mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering; renewable energy systems design; energy modeling; and design software to our already diverse services.
Gausman & Moore, which has offices in the Minneapolis/St. Paul and Los Angeles metro areas, has an over 80-year history of providing MEP consulting services.
Both firms enter the merger with ambitious growth plans, and Gausman & Moore’s expertise adds depth and diversity to the services Ayres offers. Gausman & Moore’s energy and MEP services will be employed on Ayres’ utility, dam, moveable bridge, renewable energy, industrial, municipal, and street lighting/signalization projects. This new energy expertise also adds breadth to the vision our planning and development experts can provide as they imagine the potential of sites that developers are transforming in the Southeast, Midwest, and West. Gausman & Moore’s expertise has been instrumental in helping clients achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified and equivalent projects.
Gausman & Moore’s culture is all about its employees’ passion for solving problems, being responsive to clients’ needs, delivering highly efficient systems built for the future, and giving back to the communities where they work. These philosophies dovetail perfectly with Ayres’ drive to provide smart, creative solutions; to treat our clients as partners; to conduct business with integrity; to show you our commitment to community; and to challenge, support, and recognize our employee owners.
“Ayres and Gausman & Moore share strong reputations in the government and commercial markets, and our combined experience in the education, energy, health care, residential, and industrial markets will bring our clients even greater confidence in our leadership in these areas,” says Bruce Ommen, PE, president and CEO of Ayres. “Gausman & Moore brings particular strengths to the table to help the retail industry transform brick and mortar locations, and we look forward to offering multiple services to clients in these markets.”
“We are honored and excited to be joining Ayres,” says Daniel Sandoval, PE, Gausman & Moore’s president, who transitions to vice president of the new Gausman & Moore division of Ayres. “The cultures and business synergies between our firms align very well. I don’t think we could have found a better partner with whom to forge our future.”
